Intro to Setting a Wedding Budget You Can Stick To

First off, I have to tell you that setting a budget for your wedding is easy. Creating a budget that's affordable for you and sticking to it is the hard part. Luckily there is no shortage of resources to help you, and I have put together some of the best tips I have found to make things easier for you.

The first thing I should have said is that regardless of the amount of money you have to spend on your wedding, the wedding of your dreams is a tangible goal. If you're smart, organized, and you plan for everything that is important to you, I promise you that you can get everything you want. Reassuring right? Feel better...

So now the scary part... With our economy down and getting rougher by the day budgeting for your wedding can seem like torture. With the average wedding cost at over $28,000, many couples tend to put off the task of figuring out what they can afford. The biggest problem with this is that many couples tend to jump into meeting with vendors and making decisions without knowing what they should spend on certain items.

The result is that many couples find out too late that they have over spent in some areas and are now faced with spending more than they originally agreed upon or have to cut back on other necessities.

So before you start spending get organized and tackle the single most important aspect of creating the wedding of your dreams. I know, I know....Sounds easier said than done. Follow these steps and there is a beautiful wedding waiting for you at the end of the tunnel.
